This year we will be diving into Reading and Writing Workshop, studying and creating narrative, informational and opinion pieces.

Using Math in Focus, we will deepen our understanding of place value, addition and subtraction, multiplication and division, fractions, decimals, measurement, geometry and model drawing. 

In social studies we will learn all about the great state of California, our geography and history!

In science we will talk about Landscapes, Earthquakes, Animal Adaptations, Car Crashes and Energy.  

My goal is to encourage deep thinking, problem solving, collaboration, and creativity throughout the curriculum. We are a community of learners and will work together to question, learn, improve and, of course, have fun!
