"A career in speech-language pathology challenges you to use your intellect (the talents of your mind) in combination with your humanity (the gifts in your heart) to do meaningful work that feeds your soul...I am proud to be a member of what I consider to be the best profession on earth" -Megan Hodge

Speech-Language Pathologist

As a Speech-Language Pathologist at La Entrada Middle School, I work diligently to prevent, assess, diagnose, and treat speech (including articulation, voice, and fluency), language, social communication, and cognitive-communication (including organization, attention, and problem solving) disorders in students. I work closely with teachers and staff to support students in a variety of areas related to communication.

I am very honored to be a part of such an outstanding group of students and staff at La Entrada Middle School. Please feel free to reach out to me regarding any communication concerns.

About Me

I received my Master's Degree and was awarded Graduate Student of the Year from California State University, Chico in 2010 in Communication Sciences and Disorders. I currently hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. I am beginning my 13th year as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist. I have had experience in assessment and treatment in a wide variety of communication disorders and have worked with children ranging in age from Preschool through High School. While I have had ample experience in all areas of communication, I specialize in Augmentative and Alternative Communication and assessment and treatment of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I also completed the Social Thinking Clinical Training Program and am enjoying incorporating all I have learned into therapy sessions!

I enjoy spending time with my husband, son (2.5 years) and we are expecting our daughter in September 2022. I typically spend my free time being with family, hiking, fishing, and gardening as well as caring for the many animals we have around our home.
