WELCOME TO
6th GRADE PHYSICAL EDUCATION
THE HAPPIEST CLASS ON EARTH!
- Be respectful of yourself and others (no OUCH’s)
- Be honest
- Use common sense
- Be seated when the tardy bell rings (unless given different instructions); tardies effect your participation grade – parents and/or administration will be notified if tardies become a problem
- Absences – you are responsible for finding out what you missed during your absence and making up any missed work
- Medical excuses require a parent note for up to 3 days and a doctor’s note for more than 3 days (students are responsible for respecting parent and doctor’s notes)
- Be prepared for class; wear appropriate clothing (be aware of the weather), athletic shoes & socks, empty your pockets and don’t bring unnecessary things to class
- Hats – O.K. outside if they are not disruptive (never indoors)
- Backpacks and personal belongings are to be secured (zipped up) and placed in the proper designated area during class (do not bring valuables to school)
- You are required to bring your Sportfolio to class every day
- Food, beverages, and gum are never allowed during class (bottled water is the exception when we are outside). NEVER IN THE GYM
- Respect all facilities and equipment

"Professional Begging"
- A sturdy heel box - if you can easily fold it over, you will not get much support
- A shock absorbing, cushioned sole
- An enclosed, supportive upper with laces or a velcro closure
- Plenty of life still left in it – no holes and has a distinguished tread
- A good arch support
- A proper fit – not too small and not too big
- A good pair of shoes will help keep you safe and help you take care of your whole body
