Extra Credit Opportunities
In my class, it is most important that you fulfill your day-to-day responsibilities with homework and assignments FIRST.
Therefore, you must "qualify" for extra credit.
In order to qualify, you must be earning a C or better in my class.
If you are earning a C- or lower, then your effort needs to be placed on improving day-to-day performance and you DO NOT qualify for extra credit opportunities.
If you are earning a C or better and are interested in doing some extra credit work, please note the following:
1. Extra credit is a SMALL part of your grade.
2. Extra credit is due THE WEEK BEFORE the end of the quarter...no exceptions.
3. Please set up a time to meet with me to discuss whether you qualify for extra credit.
IF YOU QUALIFY... (see above requirements)...
8th Grade Science Extra Credit Opportunities (up to 10 points each…one opportunity per quarter)
Ground Rules: 1. In order to complete extra credit assignments, you must have turned in 80% of your work. 2. To be accepted, extra credit must be submitted one week before the end of the quarter. 3. Incorrect extra credit will not be accepted if it does not meet the requirements as stated in the description. (Common mistakes: A full page goes from top to bottom. Please do not waste space with a large title and spaces between paragraphs; copying or stealing others’ work is plagiarism, so don’t do it…if you’re going to do extra credit, do it right!)
